Many of us will remember Stacie Orrico for her smash hits such as ‘Stuck’ and ‘(There’s Gotta Be) More to Life.’
However, after releasing her third album, Beautiful Awakening, in 2006 and having issues with her record label, Orrico took a long break from the public eye.
In the aftermath of “(There’s Gotta Be) More to Life,” Orrico lived in Africa for a bit, studied women’s literature and acting at school in New York, and as she announced in a video in 2013,
“Probably, like most of you, I have been living my 20s, wandering and finding myself, and wandering again. And spending days feeling incredibly lost and confused about who I want to be and where I want to go, and having moments of beautiful enlightenment.”
In that same video, she announced that she had an album in the works, but it doesn’t appear to have been released.
